Afrofuturism Lounge, Afro Future Con, and Afrofuturism Dream Tank are produced by Firyali, Inc. and benefit Grio'Neers, Inc. a 501(c)3 nonprofit with a focus on Engineering the Future through Storytelling.
All programs and events are developed with an aim towards increasing awareness of and skills to envision, reverse engineer, and actualize desired future states.
September 9th and 10th 2023 marked the 3rd iteration of Afro Future Con in Southeast San Diego.

Plans for the future include pop-up activations at other events, site visits and excursions as well as hosted discussions, workshops, and screenings.
Afrofuturism has as many definitions as it has people generating definitions. For us, Afrofuturism is a multidisciplinary framework that connect history, current events, and creativity to imagine/reimagine the future as well as the past and present.
Afrofuturism Lounge is giving out tickets to see 20th Century Studios’, THE CREATOR!
The screening will take place on September26 at 7 p.m. at AMC MISSION VALLEY.
