We are the creators and producers of the Afrofuturism Lounge which was initially launched in San Diego, CA July 2018 during San Diego Comic Con. What started as a private party for industry insiders morphed into a unique opportunity for the insiders to connect with fans as well as the general public in a sanctuary of Blackness.
Participants experience a vibrant gathering of artists, futurists, and storytellers exploring bold visions of the future through Afrofuturism. Guests leave with new ideas, meaningful connections, creative inspiration, and a deeper understanding of how imagination can shape more inclusive futures.

We will be visited by local heroes and visionaries as well as special guests from near and far.

This is a celebration of art, culture, and community along with a few calls to action if you are up for the challenge.
Afro Future Con (all ages) exists to bring individuals together and expose them to art and innovation that expands consciousness to include possibilities that are equitable and sustainable. We also uplift and elevate joy, the antithesis of negativity. All proceeds benefit Grioneers, Inc. a San Diego-based, 501(c)3 nonprofit organization committed to engineering our future through storytelling.
