Come purchase collectibles and refresh yourself with food and beverages from local vendors.
This is a celebration of art, culture, and community along with a few calls to action if you are up for the challenge.

The Future is Watching:
Sinners, A Night at the Edge of Tomorrow
October 16 | 5:30 PM @ Fleet Science Center, Balboa Park
Guest joined us for an electrifying evening where art, imagination, and Afrofuturism converge. In honor of the date the events in the film Sinners take place, this special program moderated by Ramel Wallace invites audiences to explore the film’s themes through the unique perspectives of four visionary creatives:
-
Ajani Brown, Africana Studies Professor at San Diego State University, brings cultural and academic insight into the film’s social and historical resonance.
-
Menefese Kudumu-Clavell, Independent Filmmaker, examines the cinematic craft, storytelling, and the power of visual narrative.
-
Hue Love, Visual Artist, offers a lens on symbolism, aesthetics, and the emotional architecture of Afrofuturist art.
-
Lonnie Lucas, Cosplayer, embodies character and creativity, connecting fandom, identity, and reimagined futures.
Experience an evening of conversation, reflection, and community as we step to the edge of tomorrow and ask: What does redemption look like in the future we are building?
